Ole steve bleile! I have their arc welding II on DVD. It's pretty solid in my opinion. I am a beginner and these videos by Wall Mountain have been a great help.

Thumbs up for the info dude!

I have owned Steve's videos for several years and have recommended them to anyone who asked where to get good welding videos. Some of the best arc shots I have seen and very affordable videos. Sounded a little too happy when you said he kicks my butt lol

Hey, no hard feelings Jody.
I meant he has the best "stick welding" arc shots.
Nobody beats your tig arc shots. :D

I am one of your greatest fans.....
Can you possibly do a bunch of 3/8 plate stick welding tests?
1g, 2g, 3g, and 4g, open root 6010, 7018 fill and cap. "whip-n-pause and bury-rod", weaves and stringers....
Those videos would be a help to me, and a help to a lot of other people that are going to take these tests....

Steve and Vicki are great people if you ever get to meet them. AK, I'm not slamming you here, so don't take offense but, the problem with this video is that 1) It's copyrighted and 2) This Russian idot on YouTube continues to illegally post Steve's welding videos. Steve's welding videos are for sale on his website and that YouTube poster knows it. Most people like you and me, simply go to YouTube to learn and be entertained. I know your posting of the link meant no harm. That Russian guy shouldn't be posting somebody else's livelyhood when it's not made to be passed out for free. I think in the music industry they refer to it as "piracy." :?

By the way, yes Steve's techniques and skill level are quite fabulous.

Ok, But I just put it on here for somebody's to see.
I think that video is worth a pocket full of welding classes.
Steve explains every aspect of what he's doing, and shares a shocking amount of knowledge.
He is a great help to newbs and not so newbs.

Another good video with great arc shots is Under the Hood, by a Boilermaker from Louisiana. Shows a tig root and hot pass with 7018 fill and cap on 2" pipe, and 6010 root and hot pass (downhill and up) with 7018 fill and cap on 6" pipe. Not nearly as much explanation as Jody or Steve does ( I own his vid too), but its awesome for someone new to pipe, especially in-plant pipe. Of course, you have to pay for it, but it's very reasonable.

It is sad to say in this internet world that the guy in Russia has full legal rights to post Steve's videos because the copyright laws don't apply. I'm not saying its right just saying. I like the fact that the founder of this site has his videos posted on youtube by HIMSELF for us to view. You can purchase his videos in a collection on DVD to support his cause. I personally have chosen to support him in purchasing his tig fingers and they work great when i remember i have them in the truck.

Jody, I have to commend you for the classiest response to what could literally be taken as a slap to the face in your own house.
