Tweco 150 is light and comfortable, and can weld 1/8" anyrod all day long.

I spent as little as $13 with supplier discount to $26 retail from JoeBlow welding.

I've had a StingerV for a while now and really like it. Holds rod very well from 3/32 to 3/16.

I like the tweco ones as well they seem to hold the rods really nicely from small to large. Not sure what amperage your running but I have a 150amp and a 300amp one and love them both!

Yeah, black standard tweco's are the best....

There is supposed to be a stick lead that is really good.......I believe it begins with the letter "B".........anything come to mind???

Bernard makes a nice twist lock one, maybe that's it. I used to use one and liked it, but you had to bend the rod to get any position other than about 15*.

I'll have to look tomorrow (took today off... long story) at the brand on my current stinger. My last Tweco 150 was stolen on a powerplant job. The lady in the tool room liked me a lot, and gave me a new stinger, whip, and connector (and set it up for me). It's a 250A. It has a great feel/balance, and a larger barrel than the Tweco, which fits my hand better. The downside is the spring on it will give you a workout.

Still, you can't beat the Tweco. Reliable, almost indestructible, and the replacement insulators are available at almost any welding supply.

I used a twist lock for years. Liked it a lot. The welder I'm selling has I believe a tweco on it. Works good. Kind of miss my old twist lock. Anybody use a twister? Just seen it on line and was wondering?

I've used a 400a tweco twister.
I like them.
I don't have one anymore.
I used black tweco's.
I've got a 150amp, and a 300amp.

I have a twist handle on mine. I like them myself. Its working good for now. I don't really need to change it out. If I had too I think I would go with a tweeco. I think they are the most popular and if you need parts easy to get.
