Yeah.
I like to call myself Mr. Overkill.

I over build everything.

But, I won't have anyone come to me with a lawsuit saying there trailer hitch broke off.

I have many more projects similer to this coming up.
I'll try and get some pics.

Thanks,
At least I know I'm keeping up with today's weldors.... ;)

Just a couple welders and a couple of big hammers and torches.

I'm pretty new to welding. So, I'm just asking.
Skillet,
Sorry about my rant a little while back.

My bad.

Hope we're still buddies.

DylanWelds wrote:Nice machine. Curious to see the welds. Gonna buy my first personal machine this weekend, nothing too special though. I want to get some more practice time in when I'm not at work (weld pipe in shipyard)

Dylan,
What kind of machine are you looking at buying???

I can give you a few tips on buying welders.

Well,
Here is my lame attempt at a video.
Still lots of tricks to learn.
Kinda dumb.
I'm gonna be making lots of farming vids, and repairs.
Don't sling to much mud.
I'm just a country farm boy :D

There is nothing wrong with over kill or over doing stuff. My boss when I worked oil and gas servicing use to yell at me all the time because I would use a whole bottle of pipe dope to plumb in one well and I told him that I didn't want to have to come back out and chase down a leak. It always sucked taking the joints back apart but at least they never leaked. :D
It's always best to build your own, especially when it comes to hitches!!!

Overkill is often an underrated achievement.....

But seriously,

I let you know how it holds up, and make a youtube vid on it pulling min 20,000lbs
