I want to become a pipe welder with own truck and welder. I am currently in high school right now and I take welding in a trade school. I am going to join the marines and possibly go to Lincoln tech for welding just so I cant know everything I possibly can, and I would have a gi bill to use up. But what would be the best way to go about getting hired ?? Im soo confused an it really sucks thank you for any help guys !!

Welcome, Jake,
If welding is your post-militay goal, consider the Navy. The SeasBees "C-B. Construction batallion" will train you in this specifically.
The Marines are a fine choice for learning leadership, pride, and initiative, but you already have a goal for "after".
Give it a thought or two.
