Step 2: Insert collet through rear of torch (hehehe)

Step 4: Cup of your choice on the front, adjust stick out a little, place back cap on the back. Snug down back cap to tighten up the tungsten so it doesn't get crazy on you.

The 1/8" collet fits the collet body just fine. That's why I thought it was weird that the tungsten would not go through the collet body.PeteM wrote:Does the collet for the 1/8 tungsten fit into the collet body?

When they're brand new, before everything gets hot and cold a few times, they can be a little snug. I don't know if anybody does it any differently, but I find it helps to do them in that order so that you can give the tungsten a good shove when it needs it.Chips O'Toole wrote:The 1/8" collet fits the collet body just fine. each size tungsten has a specific collet body size
so if you change the tungsten size you have to change the collet and the body

also the paint on the end of the tungsten can be to large if trying to slide in from the open end
