Exactly, not sure why I bought the Lincoln, but it was the first helmet that cost a bit of money and I think I had my mind set on a bit viewing area and didn't really like the 3M's. But yeah I agree totally, better to buy from a specialist manufacturer.

Hey mate i had mine nearly 2 years changed batteries once , never had problem changing the plastic covers , never had a problem with the locking tabs and i had it out regularly from doing mig, a mate of mine let me try his new 4c lens and was that impressed i bought a new one without hesitation and will buy again . I suppose you can get a lemon any where now though
Cheers Troy

Well I do like the clarity of it. Good to hear you have not any issues. But I have & I hope I wont
in the future. Right now I,m using my cheap auto darkling & its not to bad, but not as clear.
It only has 2 censers but 90% of my welding on the table. I wish I could afford a $400 helmet
but to many other things I need more.

This helmet above may be a little out of $60 range but not a lot. I have been reading a lot about it, I like
what I hear. Look at frame head gear. They say this helmet can be fine tuned way above the others. I.,
thinking getting one in the future. I hope someone on this form that has one can comment.
