so you are virtually in the same area, i am in Pittsburgh close to concord, probably you know around here, but if you see the rest of the comments it looks like here in CA we pay 300% more.andreb wrote:I just exchanged my 125 scf argon tank at Airgas the other day in Union City, CA. The price was $105.33. I've never bought a tank that large (330) but they are expensive. I've been lucky enough to inherit or find old tanks to trade in. I had to buy a small 40 scf nitro tank several years back and I seem to remember it was a couple hundred dollars so I think you're in the ballpark.
maybe i did not post given information properly
the guys form the LWS will seel a 330 cf cylinder to me so i can own it for $ 512+argon $195= $707 then every time i want to refill it will cost me $195.00.
looks like here in my area, this is it.$$$

the prices i posted above( pictures) are for cylinder exchange , just for the gas itself. it matches exactly the price that one of you guy from around here (union city ) also posted earlier.
I think the guys from LWS was giving me a discount already

Yeah.....but you get to live in Sweden don't forget.AndersK wrote:Shut up guys and don't complain...
Changed a 140 cf bottle yesterday, 100$ and that's below list price.
5$ surcharge for the integrated regulator but not even close your prices.
Stone knives and bearskins.....and a NEW EVERLAST 164SI !!!
That's my newly shared work welder.
At home I got a Power Tig 185 DV. Nice, but no plasma cutting... Nice tight arc after a second.

Yep! Welcome to the Bay Area for pricing. And its not like we have a lot of choices; Airgas, Praxait and Alliance are about it for me. I'm sure a refill in San Francisco will be even more! I don't know if Airgas "rents" cylinders but you can ask. Good luck.
