Gas lens size

Postby Fly » Sun Jun 18, 2017 8:30 pm

I use a #6 to #8 on most everything I weld. What would say a #12 gas lens be used for?

Probably stainless, or titanium. Any aluminum I've done, a #8 was big enough.

Yep. Stainless and titanium a lot. Some guys use it on cluster joints for tubing or tubing joints because they commonly need a long stick out of their tungsten to get to the joint so they need more gas coverage.
