I use a #6 to #8 on most everything I weld. What would say a #12 gas lens be used for?

Probably stainless, or titanium. Any aluminum I've done, a #8 was big enough.

Yep. Stainless and titanium a lot. Some guys use it on cluster joints for tubing or tubing joints because they commonly need a long stick out of their tungsten to get to the joint so they need more gas coverage.
A student now but really want to weld everyday. Want to learn everything about everything. Want to become a knower of all and master of none.

How much more CFM would be recommend using a #12 lens over a #8?

Around 25cfh with a #12 works well
