I grind tungsten horizontal, not how they recommend but I've bet ever had an issue. I'm not getting any arc wander

Try grinding it the other way and just see if it helps or not.
Aluminum is very sensitive. Hope you can get it figured out.

ill give the drill and my belt sander trick a shot and see if it makes a difference . I haven't had much time this week to mess with anything in the garage
