So I picked up some serving trays, bowls, and other kitchen pieces to make some artwork and signage. I was wondering if I would be safe to use just 308l filler or if I should select another type. Also, typically what stainless alloy is the kitchen ware typically?
A student now but really want to weld everyday. Want to learn everything about everything. Want to become a knower of all and master of none.

"18/8" is one common grade of stainless steel used in cookware. 308 filler would be appropriate.

Recommend you first check out this Stainless Steel (INOX) - Cookware article to explore the potential grade of your stainless steel. Both 300 and 400 series SS are used in cookware.
