I started buying kitchenware stuff at my local goodwill for some art projects but recently I've been using it as practice. I got some cookie sheets for instance that are like 18"X12" for $.50 .025" thickness and that is some good low amp tig practice. Most important thing ive learned is that gray welds are almost impossible because it goes from good color to blown hole with no in between. So far I've just been pushing puddles at about 13-14 amps with the machine set at 30. So if you want some practice for cheap on stainless it may be a way to go.
A student now but really want to weld everyday. Want to learn everything about everything. Want to become a knower of all and master of none.

Good idea, we've got a Goodwill right around the corner and it's hard to find stainless to practice on.
