Hello friends, I have a question as to why the open cornice weld carries less amps than in the flat position and why in the fillet position it carries more amps, why does that happen?

Pretty sure it's because a open corner your only melting the edges of the sheet/plate.

Whereas with a butt joint your melting the edge+ a bit into the sheet.

Same with a corner fillet. Simply even more metal mass to heat up.

Least that's what my brain says, I could be wrong feel free to correct me or elaborate on this if I'm on the right track.
