Hey guys,

Can anyone recommend a "good" DVD that will show you the basics of Tig welding but more importantly explain machine setup and what each dial does? I really just want it for aluminum, I can tig steel not to bad but I do need some help with aluminum.

I tried searching for DVD but I didn't find anything .... sorry if this has been covered a lot already.

Thanx guys, nice site ya got here, im gunna have a browse around :)

I can't recommend a dvd, but jody put up a great series of videos covering all the settings on the everlast powertig 250ex : http://www.weldingtipsandtricks.com/tig ... tings.html

jody also has a video that covers some techniques to practice aluminum welding :

and a few more general tig tips:

http://www.weldingtipsandtricks.com/how ... g-rod.html

there's plenty enough free information that jody has given us on this site that you probably don't need to buy a DVD to learn to weld. a little arc time and a little reading will get you comfortable in no time. feel free to ask specific questions :)

Does he come on these forums?

Its awesome how he explains exactly what each dial does but ALSO, tells you a good kind of "set and forget" setting to get you under way, couldnt be happier!
