Finished the flange side of my intake manifold. Next need to mount the fuel rail and then wait until the engine's back in the car to figure out the plenum dimensions

fabricating up, not dabbing up,spell ck sorry.....
Fabricating in the sense of cutting/fitting, yes. The bends are purchased from a supplier, and then trimmed to fit/weld. That pipe starts life as a 90 w/ a 6" leg and probably 24" or so, and then a pair of 90s with 6" legs. Tangent cuts on the 90s, and then a 45 cut with offset legs to get the vertical transition spaced correctly.

Welded at 250hz (those might have been welded at 75, I don't remember ) and 78% Balance. I'm not used to only having those settings to play with, I used Dynasty 350s at the other shop with independent amplitude adjustment. Not that the Dynasty 200 is a slouch by any means, but being able to tweak the arc just right makes for a rewarding experience. Or a nightmare. Depends on how far you turn the knob!!!

Made a new tungsten holder out of the hydraulic cylinder from one of my prosthetic "experiments" (my leg guy gave me some extras to take apart and see how they go together since he was curious as well) I should be able to hold all of the tungsten now! Image

Busted bolt hole and a missing chunk of metal. Going to start smoothing it down and flattening it out before it gets sent to be machined. Then they will have to redrill and tap the hole.

This is a scale model of turtle for a fountain project. The final product will be 7 feet long and made of bronze. ImageImage

That's going to be cool. Are you going to braze it together or do the pieces attach to a frame?

Brazing and the plan is for the pieces to have u shaped brackets inside so the parts appear to be floating.

Very nice Markus, would like to give that TipTIG a try. Is this stainless or maybe duplex?

Plain carbon. You could contact TIPTIG USA and ask if they are doing any demos etc in your area.

Very nice! I have to ask though...what is a fishing bell? When I was a kid we had little bells we clipped on our rods at night so we could hear if we got a bite...same thing?

Yup. that's exactly what they are for. A lot of guys here in Hawaii are shore casters. And set the bells on the poles so they can hear when a fish hits. Welded 2 of these and 2 rock spikes for a guy at work. Nice guy so I didn't even charge him. Free practice time for me I guess. I just enjoy melting metal, and helping the guys out.

Now, unless it get's hot, you need J.D.s colored epoxy fill in that... If it does get hot, maybe a glass/ceramic?
