Does anyone use max wire speed? Like 700 or 800

When my work had the old Miller Deltawelds for mig welding we had the high speed motors that went up to 1400ipm. We had Series 60 & 70 wire feeders with dual schedule whips and my low speed was at 800 and my high was 1050 and on other machines at 1200 with .035 wire. This is on 7-10 gauge mild and stainless steel. 4 foot seams would take under a minute to put a 3/16" weld on it. I do miss the old piecework days.
