I am using a 110 mig welder with Aluminum spool gun, my welds do not seem to get hot enough compared to what I see online from other guys. Can I do a Argon 90% to Helium 10% to increase the heat? Other suggestions?
You can, but you might be trying to weld too thick a piece of aluminum on your 110v welder. Aluminum takes a lot of amperage. Can also preheat with propane as a test to see if that helps. What machine, amps and wire speed are you using? Material thickness and wire gauge?
