Is anyone having issues with the plastic wire spool and feeding issues. The standard 12lbs Lincoln wire spool seems to wobble and then pull very hard. To me it looks like an after thought of the Lincoln design team. I've tried to shim this and balance it and I still get loops and bad pulls from the mess.

Any suggestions?

Don't know if the set up is the same as a Lincoln 180 in which I use 10lb rolls of flux core with possibly the same type adapter. I had similar problems and found the adapter would slip and catch inside the spool. Easy fix -put a couple of small screws thru the adapter from the inside into the plastic roll to lock it on and problem solved. The little nub on the adapter that's supposed to lock into the recess in the spool is too small to hold the tension on the wire without slipping and even a new adapter was no better without the screws. :D
