Help learning MIG welding

Hi i'm new to MIG welding by about this being my 6th or 7th time welding. could someone giving me the rundown on what is wrong in this picture. Thank you.

Not a whole lot wrong. Technique looked solid, up the heat a little and make sure that when you whip forward, the arc touches new steel in front of the weld pool.

And clean the metal shiny-clean first. MIG is not very tolerant of mill scale when penetration matters.

Looking good for first beads. Looks like you have LOF (lack of fusion) at the toes of the weld. Looks to be caused from too much wire speed for your given voltage and/or the lack of mill scale cleaning. Keep it up bud!
