Self Shielded Flux core

Why are most self shielded flux core wires run on DCEN when most other wire feed processes are on DCEP?

Really...I figured it was the other way around. Either way if anyone has an actual scientific theory related comment I would appreciate.

DCEN helps reduce spatter with self shielded wires.

depends on the wire, switch the polaity once.
