A friend just contacted me about this welder that his neighbor has for sale wondering if I knew anything about it. A quick search brings up Messer company from Wisconsin that sells welding gases, fillers and so on. Nothing on welders. In the picture he sent it has a blue case, says " DC Arc Welding Power Source / Wire Feeder" with several knobs and controls that I can't make out. Does anyone have any info on this welder that I could pass on. :?:

There are lots of companies that pay to put there name on a welder made by someone else. That used to be a thing, if it’s blue it’s probably a version of a miller / Hobart. Post up the pictures. It may have or be lacking some of the standard features but I bet it’s close to a standard Miller unit.
I have more questions than answers

Just out of interest, that machine has an adapter to make a euro adapter mig gun fit a proprietary socket. That's why the gun sticks out so far.
