I've been that sparkie.

Once, while working a low pay production MIG job and repairing hot tubs on the side, I got an emergency call at 10 PM, drove 45 miles to a huge party, and reset a GFCI. I charged $75 for the emergency call, and offered to stay an hour to make sure it didn't trip again, indicating another problem.

During my hour stay, I was treated to many glasses of rare and expensive rums, bourbons, and whiskeys, and drove home with one eye closed. I'm pretty sure I drank at least $200 of rare booze.

I like telling that story...
