Of course you'd want to check with Miller on this but just about any MIG machine can use a Miller Spool Gun if you also buy the SGA 100 (300.00) to go with it. Basically its a power source and a gas solenoid so the only other thing you need to do is to hook the power cable up. The work cable is the same.

Your 302 may have a direct connect option where you just connect the DIN plug to the machine and use the wire feed control and gas solenoid on the machine. That would save you from having to buy the SGA but if not, the SGA will get it done.

Most of the spool guns max out at 150a but if you go with a 3035 you can get it with the optional 200a barrel. I've got my Miller 212 setup that way and even though it has the plug n play connector I still use a SGA 100.

What do you want to know about the 302 and the spoolgun. That is what I use for my mobile welding service truck. Excellent machine.

It is primarily an uphand weld. Have you ever welded aluminum pipe before? What is it exactly that you are welding? Which spoolgun are you using ? The 15A/30A

Here's Millers Guide: http://www.millerwelds.com/products/wir ... chart.html

Jim, he's posted this same question three times. In one thread he already has a spool gun and in another he's never done it before.. Humm, begining to sound a little odd to me.

It does sound a little strange. He doesn't post anything other than a short question with really no info.
