Hello, I am a senior in high school this year im graduating in a month I take welding at a trade school, and my father has been a welder for 30 years. I am going to join the marine reserves this year but I want to get started in pipeline welding. My father already told me that he would give me his Lincoln sa250 welder. But how do I get started obviously I would have to become 6 g certified in stick but where do I go from there?

Ask the recruiter about the land mine detection program. It's quite befitting, I think.
It usually pays a little more and a bit of dirt on the boots won't get you into serious trouble. ;)
