made this small bin to hold my poker and shovel for my wood stove but I think it would serve better as a battery box or something on my 53 ford. I was dying to try out some aircraft style rivet on a project

When we moved to a house with a 2 car garage I decided to make this larger table 1/2" plate with 3x3 1/4 wall uprights, I used an idea from Kevin Caron on youtube for the feet. Trailer balls to level the table out and also to lower it onto caster to move it (if need be)

I honestly don't no what happened with the hoe, I turned around while I was moving it and found that. I was removing stumps at my house at the time and its pretty rocky here so that must have done it. Thanks

Looking at where it sheared, I'd guess there was a weld discontinuity at one of the inboard/lower corners (Either undercut or crater-cracking) that allowed a crack to start. Once started, it can't be stopped unless by some chance you see it on inspection.

Looks to be an excellent repair, BTW.

Nice repair.Really like the table and the feet.Never seen that for leveling.Kinda cool !

The hoe is surprising how thin the steel is. Who's product is it? Usually they break where a thumb is attached. This doesn't seem to have one.

Really nice looking SA200 - likely the best self contained welding machine ever made. Most of them are still running today.
