Deck project!

What welding projects are you working on? Are you proud of something you built?
How about posting some pics so other welders can get some ideas?

Deck project!

Postby Kasey » Tue Oct 31, 2017 11:31 pm

Deck project! You can tell a welder made this. More comfortable with steel than wood. Steel footings, posts, stringers, handrail, skirt and trim. All powdercoated minitex black. Before/After progression.

Thanks folks! The trays up top were a fairly unique addition as well.

Yes it is. We used the Trex brand but there are many other alternatives. Very slippery when it's wet and quite hot in the sun but we're fairly happy with it. Since the stringers were steel I had to weld on receiving plates with holes in them so I could bolt the stairs to the stringers. Quite a bit of stainless hardware!

Well they way I've heard, it will outlast wood. Way less maintenance.
So that's great. Lol
