how would you go about tacking this project up? All sides are individual pieces. I TIG welded it for the practice so needing both hands to tack made it more difficult then if I used my spool gun. But I always seem to struggle with bigger panels and keeping things square.

Take a long side panel, lay it flat on table. Take a short end panel, set it up vertically with a speed square or similar holding it on the outside. Place a tack on the INSIDE. Swap and do other end the same way. Flip it and put the other long panel on, tacked inside.
You only need a single tack at this point.
Position the bottom piece flat, set the perimeter on top of it, place tacks. If your bottom panel is truly square (rectangle), then the sides will conform. Lay your speed square inside of two side panels, midway up, place a tack OUTSIDE. Repeat at top. Swap to opposite corner and repeat.
Its all a series of small tacks, squaring as you go, and using a square to align things. Stitch welds to prevent warpage.
