HI,

I,m a Student of mechanical engineering and i have to do a project of a Welding positioner with 3 degrees of liberty!
When i start my search i found diferent types of Suports/tables, and one of the diference is the shape!!
Can someone tell mi what is the diference between a round table ( http://artek-wa.com/MyImages/Welding%20Positioner.jpg ) and a square table ( http://www.weldplus.com/prod_images/PAN306FB.JPG)

Hi there,

Most ive seen have a round table with diagonal slots across the centre (12 to 6 and 3 to 9 ) for bolting what ever to.
