I think its a mostly using common sense. Have multiple fire extinguishers on hand. Know where they are. Other than that. Up to you for what you're comfortable with. I only tig in my garage with the door open and a welding curtain and fan running. Everything else is done outdoors on my outdoor table....

I was thinking along the lines of working with copper. With repeated bending and hammering the copper will crack unless periodically annealed. So something along the lines of will stainless work harden and crack while I am building the thing.
