Re: Digital display problem on Lincoln V160-T

If you have some spare time on your hands, try re-soldering some of the connections on the circuit boards. Often a cold solder joint will cause this sort of problem. Also, check the color of the pins on any connectors. If you have a lousy connection, it will create heat and discolor the pin. Another...

Your URL got a bit broken up, but I managed to figure out what you are talking about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBWy3SPFGe4 http://www.cobratorches.com/demo-videos/ I've owned this torch for more than 20 years and YES, it does what it says it does. Re: Makita Cordless Grinder

I've just started collecting Makita cordless tools and I like them.
They seem to have just enough power to do the small jobs.
I've also invested in a Triton track saw for accurate cuts.

Re: Makita Cordless Grinder

The Makita Cordless brushless 5" grinder arrived this morning at 7am. In Canada, the best price I found was at http://bcfasteners.com/ Free Shipping was a bonus and it got here pretty quick. I installed a 4" cup style wire brush and did some work on my truck. My first impressions are prett...

When it comes to music, my latest endeavor is to learn to play the Chapman Stick. Here's an artist who lives close to me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqrW3MHsuEs Aside from welding and welding subjects, I am a very, very good ("professional" level) jazz trumpet player - if I wanna be.

Re: Man Cave / Money Pit

I've decided to build a quick attach system for the loader.
I looked at a lot of ideas on the internet and I like this one.
The loader will get used more often with more implements.

Re: Man Cave / Money Pit

I agree with you on the chains. I've experienced the same problem with other machines. BTW - I bought three (brand new) 8' grader blades last week. It was my backup plan, if I couldn't find a bucket. I could always install one of these blades, if I decide that the teeth aren't to my liking. It's nic...

Re: Man Cave / Money Pit

Regarding the size of the bucket, I was thinking more about snow removal. As for moving dirt, it's not necessary to fill the bucket each time. Page 3 of the following document discusses available bucket sizes. http://www.antiquefarming.com/PDF/caseloader.pdf Also, keep in mind that this document is ...

I've edited the bucket pics.
With a few modifications, it should fit fine.
It's actually really close to the size that I was looking for.

Re: Man Cave / Money Pit

The JD755B bucket arrived today. 2.25 cubic yards. It weighs 2300lbs. The loader can lift 6000lbs. so I'm still in the usable range. Dimensions are 87"W X 50"H X 48"Deep The bucket pin centers are identical to my loader. It shouldn't take too much modification to match everything up. ...

Re: Man Cave / Money Pit

I picked up a pair of 14' steel sliding doors for my man cave yesterday.
The price was $125 each. Definitely better than the cost of materials.

On Thursday, I'm off to see a bucket for the loader.
My plans are slowly coming together. Evolution...

I got fingerprinted.
I used an Aloe Vera plant for bandages.
It took the pain away and it healed up in a week.

This is my $1500 Mobile Billboard. It's a small work shop on wheels.
With a vinyl cutter, I can easily advertise any business that I choose.

That's certainly a possibility. If you want to save money. You provide the artwork and I can cut the vinyl at low cost. This is the free software that I use. https://inkscape.org/en/ The software works on Windows, Mac and Linux. You will also do the weeding, as I hate this part of the job. &q...

I used to collect stickers, then one day last year, I went to an auction.
I picked up a vinyl cutter for $90 (including computer and software)

Now, I make all sorts of creative stickers, just for the fun of it.

Re: Welding ferrite?

I glue ferrite pieces together with epoxy. I typically use two E-cores and install a wire bobbin in the middle. I shim the two E-cores with sheets of paper until I'm able to tune the core just right. My primary application for this technique is in the manufacture of high power acoustic weapons. Thes...

Thanks Bill. I bought the service manual yesterday and the operator's manual today. Ebay is a very cool way to shop. My Case backhoe is newer, but still old. My choices are Beauregard Equipment in Colchester VT, (no relation I know of), or Town Line in Plainfield NH, (closer). They get everything I ...

Thanks for the offer, but I found a service manual on eBay.
In the meantime, this loader needs a bath and some paint.

Re: Man Cave / Money Pit

It's hard to get much information on these 1960's 4X4 machines. The PDF that I have is for the four cylinder and mine is a six cylinder. If I ever decide to knock down this building, I have the machine for the job. It has 40,000 lbs of pushing/pulling power. plus 6,000 lbs of lift capability. Wow. Y...
