Everlast stick mode??

I have Everlast 250EX over a year now.. No i have reasently started to stick weld whit it normaly i use KEMPPI. And i dont understand what is the problem when i weld 2mm rods 7018 (Elga,Esab,Lincoln) overhead/vertical 52-62A it starts bad and when i have weld couple seconds it snuffs out??? Same rod...

SS pipe line queston

How you do tack welds on ss pipe line?? I mean that oxidation inside the pipe 2mm x 50mm pipe food factory. Is it so litle/fast tack so it wont sugar?? I use purge when i start "welding" ofcourse but im mainly worry how i make it right if its xrayed?? My first ss pipe welding starts soon :...

Im no expert to advice enyone yet but i did month ago 7018root fill and cap and was send to xray and came out cleane and got 6g smaw 6mm 60mm cert.. i do allways side to side motion and overhead 6clock you need to push that rod litle bit inside the pipe for second and then back to groove/bevel side ...

Now been two days at that place welding AL whit pulse MIG there is Lincoln 320 wave i think its made for aluminium welding (im not sure about thoose numbers but same kind that jody has one video.. Thanks Steve :) You are the best here in jodys forum.. Whis that i will be keeping my intres alive allso at after 20years welding.. Now i will start learn my best at Mig Al (pulse).. Thursday i start there,can wait to learn/master another weldin progress...

JIPPIII :D :D Xray answers came this morning and it passed well.. Funny thing i was so attitude of failure so i wouldent be dissepointed.. This gives me much self-confidence now.. And also i was offered a job welding aluminium by pulse MIG. Starting wage of 16Euros,i dont know how much its at dollar...

That ss pipe looks more like 5mm thick... 2mm thick pipes are near impossible with stick... I asked SVETSARE to send me photo welding 2mm ss pipe. And he is very talented man from compared hes age, and has done lots of practise-work before going job welding ss pipe..I just sayed to him (private) th...

Okey i will.. Today it was mailed hope it will hear soon :D if it will pass next is time for tig 6g but i think it will be easier for me then stick.. At least can weld litle slower :)

Hi last friday i did 6g smaw 6mm x 60mm pipe test. It passed the visual inspection but now it will be send to xray monday. Its my first xray (remember the fealing?) I was bretty pleaced way it came out, root was the best part of it very uniform and there was one litle mistake what are allowed 6-7clo...

Heres some pics how i have come litle better again.. No pics for root but it was same as betore "okay" IT REALY KEEPS ME GOING FORWARD WHEN I SEE MY PROGRESS :)
Pipe is sand blasted normal steel 2,4mm gap and litle land 7018 root to cap.

Thank you.. I have found that this site and all thoose litle tips/tricks have been woth of gold/with lots of practise.. No book havent tell me this kind of things.. Tryed to find a good book what covers stick/tig pipe welding techniques no codes or that, but something what covers litle bit more then...

OKEY.. Well maybe i try to order them couple somewhere for here Finland just to try them out would be incresting to see how they work,how much easier it makes rootpasses comparing 7018.. Maybe EBAY is the place to find a shop what sends them here? Ive jused Lincoln electrodes before but allways 7018...

Here are allso thoose 6013 what are recomended for rootpasses at ESAB welding electrodes book.. But i dont know is any of them eaven close to yours 6010.. Dont realy know what kind of electrode loking for to match/6010?? jwmacawful YEAP thats eaven better "helpper" to have around..

Sure its not nailed in my hand allways when i stick. But here finland/Nordic you need to know how to use it. Like i said that we dont have thoos 6010 dont know why? But we have that remote and its usually made by KEMPPI not me.. Iknow by using it that remote dont replace your skils at welding stick,...

Image that remote like a scratch start TIG- VS FOOT PEDAL EQUIPPED TIG..Spesially when you weld thinner stuff what you cant normaly weld whit STICK.. Because now you can lower that heat input so much and your rod burns still,you can start at high ampperage and have a good crisp start and then go low...

It was 2,4mm gap and tiny land.. welded that root 2.00mm electrodes maybe a less then 2 INCH at time when i have to chainge new electrode.. Lots of tieins but its a good practice for me. I have allso fixed my other cuopons if the weld was too low from root or edges dident melt. Better to learn about...

THANKS... But here we allways use 7018 on pipe roots.. I dont know how that 6010 works because never seen one :?: But its a fast freezer wright? Yap that was good advice maylbe i do it. Yeas thats not nice when you are likely underestimated because of that school reputation. But im clad that i wasnt at that class what was calld back to schooll. But least i know i can show them my welding skills if i need to.. thanks... :)
