As mentioned above the aluminium itself will form a protective (invisible) oxide layer and will be fine, however any contact with other metals higher up in the galvanic scale (eg. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galvanic_corrosion ) can and will cause corrosion issues if water and salt are added. Perhaps also check out some hobbyist sites on building and operating big Tesla coils. People like to build big ones and then use a similarly shielded suit and helmet to come close to the coil and have it discharge/spark/lightning along the suit to gound. Well it used to be an S2 with a Rover engine, but it's now humming along with a Honda K20 in the back. Hello everybody! Having followed Jody's video's for quite some time now and using his brilliant TIG fingers I thought it was time to sign up here as well.. I'm from The Netherlands (You know.. The funny little country over in yurrup... :lol: ) and am pretty much a hobby-welder. It's not my professio...
