Give him a call. He's pretty busy, but might find some time for talking it over with ya. He talks about slowing down some, but there are no signs of that.

Best.

Re: Welding from a wheelchair

My friend Steve Garro brazes (dripping flux yo) from a wheelchair every day he works. Coconino Cycles is him, near Flagstaff. http://www.coconinocycles.com/ one of the best bike makers in the business, despite his constant pain/injuries/limited ambulatory ability. I know that doesn't answer any ques...

Re: AHP TIG/Stick

Nobody has a Yaller AHP machine to piddle with and report on? I'm still curious as to why i should buy a DC only, no pedal included machine colored green when A/C and pedal are included with Yaller for similar price. I've almost decided to skip the A/C and just get a Green one to get started with TI...

Re: DC TIG on Aluminum is this real???

From what I saw on some other videos, I'd say that it takes more of a NEED than a whimsy to tackle Al with other than AC.

I doubt I'll ever need to punch Al that deep, but it does have its applications.

Well I took a weld test last week for a company that had interviewed me the prior week. The floor manager told me my tig wasn't up to their standards. ... So, hopefully I will be employed!! see that wasn't so hard was it? and work on that TIG welding eh? communication skills are a plus, I think tha...

Re: Not happy with AHP

I never said/implied he can't fuse metal as well as many TIG weldors I know personally. But that I'm tired of being addressed (as a viewer) as if I've never seen a TIG capable power source and have never melted metals before. Jody never does that. He just welds and talks us through it. Very watchabl...

these type do not use traditional pivot forks. the actuator/throw out bearing slids over input shaft bearing support and expand/extends to press againist pressure plate for release. Almost completely fed up with "Mr. Tig" telling me what he's going to do--instead of just doing it. Over and over and over. Yeah he just put up part 1 of an AHP "review". Six minutes in (yeah i always skip the intro) and he's telling us what "we're going to do" again, w...

Re: AHP TIG/Stick

FWIW, AHP is a part of Everlast. You reed good and bad about any of the Chinese machines, but if you are around long enough there are issues with all of the manufacturers. Dodge is a part of Mercedes Benz too (DaimlerChrysler yo). But that's capitalism-corporation deal, not a communism-collective d...

Great! I had hoped for such. Keep us informed please. I was a bit deflated after i ciphered that so many reviews are faked. Some "reviewers" aren't "genuine" for sure. Saving some nickels to get rigged with TIG soon! Sooner is better and the AHP looks to offer more for less than ...

Yeah you don't have to tell them what you paid for it. You just have to get a sympathetic ear/face. Don't throw good money after bad. Just get the machine in front of them. See where it goes.

Here's what i would do. You already took a gamble, why not double-down for the price of shipping? Ship the thing to the sales people or service addy if you can find one and see what happens. If it or a replacement comes back (or if dialogue gets established), you win! Somebody somewhere knows that d...

Yes, I'm quite impressed with the Everlast machines. I was just looking at something similar that comes with the pedal for somewhat less money. AHP TIG/Stick

I can find little discussion aside from Amazon reviews (9) and some extremely basic "setup" videos by AHP and "some other guys" on the Youtoob. I'm quite spoiled to Jody's "thorough" wringing out of a machine to see its stability at top/bottom and various applications. ...

Re: Sliding Adjustment FIX ?

I tied it down with a mule tape, trucker hitch. Then the "High" tap on the transformer quit working properly. The machine is buzzing rather loudly SUPER BUZZ BOX, and wouldn't light a 3/32 7018 up at 120 130 amps. I smashed the electrode into the table and it would barely burn the wire up ...

Re: Sliding Adjustment FIX ?

Burned a few more sticks with it today, found an issue--need to tie welder to the cart. I caught it raising itself up a little by pushing the down on the threaded rod. No jam nut, rotation isn't a problem. There's a nut on either end of a tube that was fitted into that piece of bracket. Nuts on both...
