Re: value of used dynasty 350

Sounds like your on the right track, Iv'e had a Dynasty 300 DX for years, and its a great machine, my brother just picked up a Dynasty 210DX tig runner and I was very impressed with it's ability to get right into 1/4" aluminum and also it's low end was very smooth.. Awesome machine..

New Bandsaw

Quite a few years ago I wanted a Ellis 1600 but because of lack of room in my garage I decided on purchasing a used Scotchman coldsaw, I made a base with heavy duty castors so I could move it when needed. I got tired of dealing with the coolant splashing all over the place and the lack of cut capaci...

Re: Helium grade (pct) - Minimum for aluminum?

I would just get the industrial grade He and you will probably find that you will want to mix Argon with it, pure Helium is much harder to establish a arc than say a 50-50 mix. I have a smith mixer and usually set mine from 25-he to 75-Ar or 30-he to 70-Ar. My local welding supply contact told me th...

Re: Lower those amps.

Yah those micro tig welders are pretty cool, one of my brothers friends has a old Miller micro tig setup with the old analog gauges, I think he said it's stable in tenths of one amp! Evidently his friend specializes in doing nothing but micro welding. If that AHP200 goes down to 10 amps you should b...

Re: My progress

Your getting there Gene, like Richard mentioned just make sure to lower amperage at the end of the bead and add extra filler, craters and the end are known for cracking.
