What is the name of the welding and fabricating book Jody has mentioned a few times in his videos? Seems like it was an older publication but I can't remember the name. He said it was "the only welding book a guy needs" or something like that.

Metals and how to weld them.... That's the one, thanks John. I couldn't remember the name and didn't want to go through all the videos again.

Yeah, the shipping is probably why I bought a bunch of books at once. I recall they're even more expensive on Amazon.

Shipping on those sites are most of the time ridiculous at best. Sometimes I wonder for the shipping costs if its cheaper to order new from Chapters. I will take a look for those books thanks for posting them guys.

I wonder how many of these books are available as e-books, that can be bought with zero shipping and downloaded to a PC, laptop, Kindle, etc...

I'm sure there's a market for it, even though welding books don't spend time on the bestseller list...

That would be worth it. Would be $5 to $10 a piece.

My #1 source of information. http://www.scribd.com/
As many books as you could possibly want in your lifetime.
I've downloaded and saved thousands of books to my hard drive.

WerkSpace,
Are there many books that welders/fabricators would like, say matals and how to weld them?

Big thumbs up to http://www.bakersgas.com! Their shipping calculator wanted over $30 to ship a $17 book, after a quick email they came up with an $8 shipping option. It is refreshing to have a company work with you for a change!

Rob,
Did you buy the book yet???
If it would help, I would buy one too...
Would that work??
We could split the shipping if they would combine both books???
Let me know....

Thanks,

Just got it for $14.99 shipped within 9 business days to dallas from portland. it's used, so I don't know for sure what kind of shape it's in, but I usually have decent luck with used books.
