Hi guys I have an esab mini arc 90 110 stick welder. I have it retrofitted with a 150 amp tig torch. The power source has a remote plug on it and I was wondering if I can use that to attach a foot petal or a thumb switch so I don't have to use strike arc when I tig? Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you all very much.

Hello Scott and welcome to the forum, just guessing that's what the plug is for, go online and get the manual, check esab's website and I'm sure you'll have the answer.

Scott, the 90 mini (at least the one we have at work) does not have HF start, so using a remote only gives you amp control. You're still stuck with scratch start.
