OK Guys and Gals here it is, finished at last built from scrap, cheap import parts, bits and pieces lying around and good ol' Ozzie inginuity enginewity knowhow.

This is how I purged the coupling guard welds.

It works great. Turned out better than I envisaged when I started.

And the colour of course, had to be BLUE!!! No reds, yellows and greens round here brother.

First root pass 1-1/2" sched 40. Came out nice inside and out.

Still experimenting with the cap, straight, 2.5pps, 50pps, 100pps. Still haven't got the excellent outcome yet. May actually be time to learn to walk the cup. Definitely need a better torch support system otherwise.
